Century Wings 1:72 “Wings of Heroes” Collection, Lockheed SR-71A Blackbird. USAF 9th SRW, #61-7978 “Rapid Rabbit”, Kadena AFB, Japan, 1972. Aircraft #61-7978 first flew on July 5th, 1967 and deployed operationally, along with two other SR-71s, to Kadena AFB in March 1978. Shortly after arrival groundcrews painted the rudders with the Playboy Bunny logo which remained there for most of its career, earning it the nickname “Rapid Rabbit”. The aircraft was lost in a landing accident at Kadena on July 20th, 1972. With this model you’ll see Century Wings dedication to authenticity and detail. The model is 1:72 SCALE and has. Length: 17.75 Inches. Wing Span: 9.25 Inches. Diecast metal construction with some plastic components. Realistic panel lines, antennas, access panels and surface details. Pad printed markings and placards that won’t fade or peel like decals. Optional extended/retracted landing gear. Accurately detailed underside with concealed screwheads. NAM ERA USAF FIGHTER PILOT’S HELMET SUPER CLEAN/COMPLETE ESTATE ITEM

NAM ERA USAF JET FIGHTER PILOTS HELMET. SUPER CLEAN ESTATE ITEM. It is as found. This US Air Force Jet Pilots helmet is super clean/complete overall. It shows light/average use/wear and is complete with it’s original oxygen mask (see photos). The helmet has two integral sunshades (one clear – one tinted) that operate properly with closure spinners to each side (see photos). The receiver fittings for the oxygen mask are present to the sides and there is a snap closure chinstrap (see photos). Both sides of the helmet have manufacturers tags (Milpar 60C4459 – see photos). The interior shell is completely lined and has some black leather padding present throughout (see photos). Both earphones are present and their respective leather covers are excellent (see photos). Both earphones are loose (I think they were made to be easily removed) but could be glued or taped in without much effort (see photos). No size is indicated but the helmet appears to be a size medium. The oxygen mask appears complete and has the appropriate strapping to attach properly to the helmet. Internal microphone is present and has the proper electrical hook-up (see photos). Main hose remains flexible and has the correct fitting present to the bottom (see photos). Face mask rubber remains very pliable and it maker marked to the interior (see photos). Side of the mask is marked with the pilot’s name (Johnson – see photos). This Nam era US Air Force Jet Fighter Pilots helmet presents an excellent opportunity for the period gear collector. Nice complete oxygen mask with this helmet. This is the cleanest one of these helmets I have had come in for several years, just a super piece of gear. If you want just one for your collection this is it! EARLY NAM ERA USAF PILOT’S HELMET ESTATE ITEM

NAM ERA USAF PILOTS HELMET. It is as found. This early USAF Jet Pilots helmet is solid/complete overall. It shows average use/wear and has been painted blue and trimmed with a reflective tape (see photos). The small footprints to the reverse and the names to each side are done in reflective tape as well (see photos). The helmet has an integral sunshade that operates properly and the closure spinner for its operation remains in place (see photos). Painting to the sunshade cover is somewhat crazed possibly from heat when it was stored (see photos). The receiver fittings for an oxygen mask are present to the sides and there is a pull buckle closure chinstrap with pad (see photos). There is also a strap across the back at the neck with a small pad (see photos). The interior has both earphones present but the rubber is somewhat worn and has small losses (see photos). All three interior pads remain in place and are securely attached (see photos). No size is indicated but the helmet appears to be a size medium and size could be adjusted with the removal or addition of extra padding. Microphone is present as found and wiring appears complete but lower coupling has been wrapped with electrical tape (see photos). No manufacturers is shown anywhere I can see but it may be painted over. This Nam era USAF Pilots helmet presents an excellent opportunity for the USAF gear collector. I don’t have any info on this Vet or know the significance of the small footprints although a friend thought it might have something to do with Air Rescue.
