The USA Air Force Academy Cadet Sword with Scabbard and USAFA etching is a prestigious and historically significant piece. This sword, made in Germany, serves as a symbol of excellence and dedication within the Air Force. The inclusion of a display case adds to the value of this collectible item, making it a perfect addition to any military memorabilia collection. Frame : 3” x 10” x 44′. Blade : Forged blade made of stainless steel, hardened to approx. 48-55 ° HRC Rockwell, hand-ground and polished. Dimensions approximately 810mm x 20 x 5mm. The blade goes through the handle into the pommel. Etching: Frontside acid etching “US Air Force Academy”. Scabbard : Nickel-plated tubular steel, hand-polished, with silver-plated brass fittings and carrying hook. The blade is poured by 2 internal chips.

This is his grouping over many years his original VMI Virginia Military Institute sword, engraved with his name, several of his uniforms, his pilot wings His badges, patches, blood chits etc this is a great grouping belonging to an amazing man. A great addition to any Air Force collection. He served our country in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam.
Air Force Academy Cadet Sword display frame by Eickhorn Solingen Germany 1980
This is an official Air Force Academy Cadet Saber. The inscribed plate that was on it says 1980. The sword is beautifully crafted by Eickhorn in Solingen, Germany. It could use a little polishing. The display frame allows one to remove the sword easily with a few twists of a screwdriver. The sword measures 34″ out of the sheath and 36″ in the sheath. The frame is 39″ x 10″.
