This is a 1943 sterling silver and black onyx United States Army Air Force ring (Miami Beach) in a size 9, weighing 14.7 grams including the stone, signed H. For Herff Jones of Indiana and monogrammed “WWA” for the soldier’s initials as well at “Sterling”. This ring has not been polished, it retains it’s original patina and some of the lettering and embossing on the sides as well as the stone has some wear over many, many years of wear (see photos), a testimony to the loyalty this soldier had for his country as well as it’s 73 years of age. It’s a wonderful piece of wearable history.
