This is a really superb example of a hard to find item, in near perfect condition. All buttons are present, brass, Kings Crown and unaltered, the lining is also in superb condition, I really love this one, but it’s too small for me.. See photos but please not the chest is not a 44″ as it might appear from the image, more 42 or 40″ – however the coat would easily alter, with the simple removal of buttons and re-positioning of them out or in, as required. (I have 2 more RAF greatcoats, but not in this condition sadly). In case I need to say, this is for the coat, epualetts and integral belt. The coat came with King Crown buttons, which indicate pre 1953, however there is no label to tie this down to a specific date of making.
