This original WWII US Army Air Force dress jacket by J. Taylor, paired with pants that were issued by the Army. This collectible set of militaria originates from the United States during the World War II era, all pins are 1/20 10k with the backs being sterling silver. The jacket has a hole on the sleeve and a few stains shown in the pictures. The pants have a ripped pocket, a rip by the heal area and stains. This blazer is in good vintage condition, it appears that the bottom front button has been replaced with a plain button and. For whatever reason all the gold front buttons are safety pinned on the inside, I have pictured that for you. Chest is 44 inches, shoulder to shoulder is 20 inches, waist is 42 inches, length is 33 inches, sleeve length is 24 inches. With the ribbons or medals, I was told this is from the National Guard, the year is 1997. Material There is no material tag. Shoulder to Shoulder 20. Authentic, vintage, US Air Force (USAF), enlisted Mess Dress uniform. The unform comes with the jacket which is listed as’43 Regular’, displays the vintage rank of Chief Master First Sergeant (CMSgt/E9), vintage USAF insignia, as well as the chain link button closure. The trousers are manufactured by Patriot and no size could be found. No tears, rips, or smells were noted; however, we would recommend a cleaning of the uniform as we did see a spot on the left sleeve (see photo) and it is wrinkled. The vintage USAF Air Force Berkshire Officer Mess Dress Hat Cap Set is designed for a Colonel named Thunder. This militaria piece signifies the wearer’s rank and affiliation with the United States Air Force. Made in the United States, it is a collectible item that represents the military heritage and history of the Air Force.
Air Force officers service dress blue wool visor cap. The cap is from the estate of retired U. Colonel Angel flew 100 F-105 Wild Weasel combat missions “up north” during the Vietnam War. The cap is marked “FLIGHT ACE FIVE STAR” and was made by Flight Ace, San Antonio, TX. The cap is size 7. The national insignia is marked N. NEW YORK” and features a raised company shield/logo and “9M inside a raised shield. The exact age of the cap is unknown, but it may be from the 1950s. The cap has a foam rubber headband or ring that helps give it a “crusher” style reminiscent of caps worn by WWII aircrews. The foam rubber headband is marked with the cap size and patent number. The cap is a very nice example of an early U. Air Force officers service dress blue wool visor cap! The cap appears to be in excellent vintage condition with no apparent insect or similar damage to the fabric. There are a few very small stray threads on the fabric. The fabric lining on the interior of the cap appears to be in excellent vintage condition. The clear plastic covering over the fabric lining appears to be in excellent vintage condition with a few tiny bumps, indentations, and abrasions (these may be difficult to see in the photos). The brown leather sweatband on the interior of the cap appears to be in excellent vintage condition with a few spots, wrinkles, creases, minor loss of finish, and perhaps light soiling and/or discoloration from wear. The ribbon on the interior back of the cap is in very good to excellent condition with fraying on the ends of the ribbon. The foam rubber headband or ring appears to be in very good to excellent vintage condition with some wear on the printed size and patent information, and dried adhesive and/or stains where the ends of the foam headband connect. The silver-toned metal national insignia and chin strap buttons appear to be in good vintage condition with scratches, scrapes, abrasions, pits, indentations, and some loss of finish. Adjustable chinstrap appears to be in excellent condition. The black leather (or synthetic leather) visor appears to be in good to very good used condition with signs of wear and age, such as scratches, scrapes, abrasions, indentations, haziness, and some wrinkling of the material. There is some wear and minor loss of finish along the edge of the visor. The underside of the visor appears to be in excellent vintage condition with a small ink spot or stain. Up for sale is a USAF’Flight Ace’ brand Mess Dress white Cap named to then Lt. Colonel (later full Colonel) Billy Clemmons, who flew P-51D’s during WWII and shot down several aircraft including the Me-262 Jet fighter (bio below). This cap is in excellent condition with a few very minor spots/aging. Colonel Billy Clemmons was born to Robert Henry and Mallie Olivia (Stem) Clemmons. He spent part of his childhood in Lebanon, TN. On December 20, 1942, he married Jean Dolores Sterling. He entered pilot training in January 1943 and earned his wings at Moore Field, Mission, Texas, in February 1944. After completing more training, he was sent to the 55th fighter wing, 38th F. Of the 8th Air Force in England. He flew P-51 Mustangs and finished his tour as the war ended in 1945. He was credited with an “unofficial” air war fighter ace, with four and one-half victories (one and one-half of which were German ME 262s). Few P-51 pilots went up against the German jets. After a brief time (while attending Baylor) he was recalled to active duty during the Korean War and was assigned to fly the F-86 Sabre Jet with the 75th Fighter Interceptor Squadron. He was then assigned to the 513th F. S in England and France. After returning to the states he was assigned to the air training command, as an instructor pilot in T-37s, T-38s. He spent many years as an instructor in jets. He attended many schools in the military including the Air War College in Montgomery, Alabama. He was then assigned to the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the Pentagon in Washington, D. He was instrumental in implementing the World Wide Military Command and Control System; the true predecessor of the internet. Clemmons retired from the Air Force at Barksdale Field in Shreveport, LA. During his career, he earned the following medals, Euro-African-Mideastern Campaign Medal, Air-Force outstanding unit award with 2 oak leaf clusters. American Campaign Medal, Air Longevity Service Award with 6 oak leaf clusters, WWII Victory Medal, Presidential Unit Citation Medal, Legion of Merit Medal, Joint Services Commendation Medal, North American Campaign Medal with one oak leaf cluster, Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Medal with 9 oak leaf clusters, Natl. Defense Service Medal with one bronze star and an Air Force Achievement Medal.

Up for grabs today is an uncommon uniform, this gentleman served on the Minuteman testing group as Senior Master Sergeant. Well-kept uniform overall, the lot includes the dress coat (Noted as a size 46XL) seen in the primary picture, as well as a long-sleeve light blue dress shirt with the SMSgt stripes, pants (size 42L, Type I Class 5) and dress cap (size 7 1/2: Blue Type I, 100% Wool, USAF) with rain cover.
