USAF 3d Tactical Fighter Wing, 1964 Quite a history on this one. 1960’S theater made handwoven patch. The back side is intertwined with some type of organic fibers which is a very rare patch of this type. This patch is from the 3d Tactical Fighter Wing which. Is typical of being a Vietnam Era patch coinciding with the F-4 and F-5 aircraft. After the war ended. The 3d transferred to Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines in 1976 under command of. LIEUTENANT GENERAL MICHAEL D. In any case, this is a very scarce authentic original patch and is very difficult to come by. There were not many of these patches made and very few of this type that have survived. Cloth and organic fiber back, cut non fullered edge. Missions included close air support, counterinsurgency, forward air control, interdiction, and radar-controlled bombing. Supported numerous ground operations with strike missions against enemy fortifications, supply areas, lines of communication and personnel, in addition to suppressing fire in landing areas. During this time, wing also participated in combat evaluation of F-5 and A-37 aircraft. Up for sale tonight is this ORIGINAL Vietnam War Tropical field coat I recently acquired at an estate sale. It is named to a Major Andrew Turner who served as a Weapons Systems Officer (WSO) in an RF-4C in the 12th Tactical Recon Squadron at Tan Son Nhut in 1969-70. This coat is in excellent condition and appears to have never been worn or only slightly been worn. It has no rips, stains, holes or tears and no fading. All of the buttons are fully intact. It has some nice theater made patches sewn on as well. The size is as follows. Chest: Pit to pit 24. Sleeve Length (Neck to Cuff). If you have any questions or need more pics, please let me know. WW2 USAAF TSgt 15th Air Force Theater Modified Khaki Uniform Group Complete. 1 Jacket/Shirt: The jacket/shirt is a nicely tailor modified EM khaki two pocket shirt into a shortened Ike jacket configuration. It is nicely done and reinforced on the back. The jacket is in good condition with some small pin point sized “ink” spots on the right pocket and a small stain next to the 4th button hole. The shirt has button closure down the front and double button closure on the bottom. There is an Italian made silk embroidered on dark blue twill 15th Air Force patch sewn on the upper left sleeve.. The patch is sound but is slightly faded from use. There is a nice detailed sterling pair of 3″ pin back Air Crew wings above the left pocket that are marked “Sterling on the back. The ribbon bar is pin back. The shirt comes with a khaki cotton neck tie. 2 Trousers: The trousers are a standard pair of Army khaki cotton trousers. There is a faded stamp inside that looks like Waist 31 Inseam 29. The trousers have double back pockets and a button fly. They have been used and worn but are in good clean condition. The trousers are tagged but the tag is too washed out to read. 3 Garrison Cap: The enlisted garrison cap is made of khaki cotton and has gold and blue USAAF braided piping on it. The cap has a fabric sweatband. There is no size that I can find. The cap has been used but is in good condition. There is a clip back EM wing/prop disc on the left side of the cap with smooth faced clips. All in all, a very nice complete theater modified jacket/shirt U. Army Air Corps uniform group. Benevolent Order of Misfortunate Yankees WWII CBI Theater Air Force Certificate

This is a framed “Benevolent Order of Misfortunate Yankees” certificate from WWII. I haven’t found out too much about this, but it was presented in 1943 to a soldier named Louis K. Lamb by his U. Squadron after serving 18 months in the China Burma India Theater. I don’t know how many of these were presented, but it says this was Registered Membership No. 16 in the upper right corner, as shown. It is in good condition in a vintage frame, with just a little staining in the corner.
