WWII USSTAF SERVICE PILOT Officer Uniform Jacket BULLION Patches NAMED Air Force

Very rare WWII European Theater based service pilot group to Flight Officer Oran Boyd Hefley of Norman, OK. From 1942 -44, he was a flight instructor at Cimarron Field, Oklahoma, and in June 1944 became active and joined the 33rd Ferrying Group. He transferred to the 302nd Transport Wing, 31st Group, Air Transport Command in England, and participated in the battles of the Rhineland and Ardennes. This group features his 4 pocket officer jacket with his name on a pinned tag inside, featuring unmarked period pin back Service Pilot wings, a plastic covered two place ribbon bar, pin back Flight Officer rank USAAF and USSTAF patches, and bullion overseas bars. Also included is a theater made bullion US Strategic Air Forces bullion patch, an extra loose USSTAF patch, an original Aircraft clearance form for a C-47 flight as the pilot, and copies of research and photos of him. Minor stain to left sleeve that will probably come out with some water. At that time, an unpaid item case will automatically be opened. It will be left, but please be patient.
