Original Pre-WWII US Army Air Force 1 Pilot Instructor Wings Lapel Pin Haltom’s. Very nice original US Army Air Corps pin for military pilot instructors worn on civilian clothing. Original with screw-back and fastener. Marked HALTOMS G-F (gold-filled). Measures 1 in width. Made in gilt bronze. HALTOMS is for G. Haltom’s of Fort Worth, Texas. They are well known for early US Air Corps wings and are a rare maker. This pin is from the later 1920s. See my other auctions with military and other items! Please feel free to ask any questions. USAF B-25 Mitchell Bomber Instrument Pilot Instructor School Handbook Moody AFB. This is a spiral bound training book and it’s in good used vintage condition. There can be some discoloration on the covers, corner bends, light creases, and other typical paper issues. The book has a Dece 1954 date written on the front cover upper right. Not sure if that’s the date the instructor candidate received the book or if a 1954 book. I think the book is older than 1954, not sure. It has 24 chapters and the book is complete. There is a name on the inside of the front cover, probably the guy who owned the book back in the day. On the first page where the Major signed, There is a stamp that reads “This book property of Veterans Memorial Museum”.

USAF Fighter Pilot Instructor Flight Suit CMU-27/P, Patches and Documents
US Air Force Flight Instructors grouping attributed to LTC Chuck Kahl that includes his: (1) issued flight suit that is badged on the shoulders with LTC rank, the left arm with a machine embroidered 406. Tactical Fighter Wing patch, the right sleeve has a USAF Fighter Weapons School Graduate patch, the right chest has a US Air Force in Europe patch and the left chest has a Velcro name plate that reads; USAF CHUCK KAHL that is surmounted by US Air Force Senior Pilot Wings. The garment is labeled in the neck: COVERALLS, FLYING, MENS, CMU-27/P and sized 42L. I cannot find a DSA date or number (2) Small USAF Fighter Weapons School Plaque dated Jul 71 Oct 75 (3) USAF Tactical Fighter Weapons Center, Weapons Instructor Course Certificate dated 29 June 1967 (4) USAF Tactical Fighter Weapons Center, RHAW Instructor Course Certificate dated 28 June 1968 (5) Japanese machine embroidered USAF Fighter Weapons School Graduate patch with the Ace novelty label on the reverse.
